Nat Whitten (“Nathaniel Whitten”, “N. C. Whitten” and others) is a creative director and copywriter, most notably with Chiat/Day, his own shop Weiss, Whitten, Carroll, Stagliano, and since 1997, Nat Whitten Incorporated for project work on both the agency and client sides. He’s been named one of the “top freelancers in the industry” by Adweek Magazine, and has lectured on the field at the University of Southern California, the School of Visual Arts, New York University, Adhouse, St. John’s University, and Temple University. In addition to his advertising work, he is the author of four books delving into politics, philosophy, prayer and meditation, as well as the occasional album with The Burlinson Whitten Trio.
